A strange thing is happening this year, April Fool’s Day and Easter fall on the same day, April 1st. In honor of this crazy twist of events, I decided to write a post about April Fool’s Jokes to Play on Your Class. If you’re looking to have a day full of fun and laughter, here are some ideas to get your class laughing.
April Fool’s Pranks to Play on Your Class.
Whoopie Cushion-Have your co-worker distract the kids and put a Whoopie cushion on one of the chairs at the table. Switch the cushion up throughout the day so no one knows who will sit on it next.
Fake Candy- Wrap a piece of dried fruit in mini tootsie roll wrappers or put single cuties on lollipop sticks and re-wrap with original (Jawbreaker) wrapper.
Empty Milk Jug-Paint an empty gallon of milk white and fill it with water. The kid who is helping you pour milk in the morning will wonder what happened when only water comes out.
What happened to my juice?-The day before, add jello mixture to however many cups you need for snack time and put a straw in each. Your kids will be surprised when they can’t drink it.
Cereal Prank-Add a drop of food coloring to the bottom of each child’s cereal bowl and add cereal. When you pour the milk over the cereal, it will turn a different color.
More April Fool’s Day Pranks.
Unusable Electronics-Take the batteries out of the remotes for the electronics in your room. If it’s movie day take the batteries out of the remote. Do the same if you have a Wii in your classroom.
Dyed Milk-Add different colors of food coloring to your milk.
Game Over-Deflate every ball you have to play with except two. Next, hide the two that are inflated out on the playground. When you choose someone to get a ball to play with outside, all he or she will see are the deflated ones. Tell the kids they have to find the two inflated ones out on the playground.
Get cracked-Download a ‘cracked screen’ app onto the class computer so the kids think the screen is broken. If you use tablets for each child in your room, download a ‘cracked screen’ app onto just one of the tablets and see who notices.
Drop a Load(Specifically for the Infant Room)-Melt a large amount of chocolate bars. When they are cooled slightly, put them in a clean diaper. Hide the diaper somewhere near the changing table. Choose which baby you want to drop the biggest ‘load’ and see if your coworkers freak out.
You are guaranteed to have a blast the week before April Fool’s with these pranks. Are you a teacher? Do you have a favorite prank you like to play on your kids every year? I’d love to know about it.
