Murder and Macabre: Edgar Allan Poe. One of the most suited authors for the Halloween season is Edgar Allen Poe. His works have been giving us thrills and chills for centuries. This early master of horror was an author, editor and literary critic. Some of his best known works are The Tell Tale Heart, The Raven, The Pit and The Pendulum, and Annabelle Lee.
