The season of giving is here. Are you trying to figure out what to get the reader in your life? It can be hard to pick out gifts when you don’t know someone’s personal tastes. It can be hard shopping for the book lover in your life. Once again, I’ve got you. Here are my top 10 gifts for the reader in your life.
Top 10 Gifts For Readers
E-reader/Tablet-Is it time for a new e-reader? These devices keep getting better year after year. Currently, I have an older NOOK HD model and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, they don’t make this model anymore but you can find info on the latest models of NOOK at Barnes and Noble.
My husband has a Kindle Fire Tablet and absolutely loves it. He can read, surf the web, and watch videos on YouTube to name a few. Head over to Amazon to find the latest models of Amazon e-readers and Fire Tablets.
Gift Certificates-A gift certificate to your local used bookstore is a great idea. It’s just as important to support your local indie stores as it is the big-box chains.
Gift Certificates to Online Bookstores-If the book lover in your life is really busy or is older and can’t get out much but uses the internet, a gift certificate to an online bookstore is another great idea. My two favorite online bookstores are Book Outlet and Thriftbooks. They carry a huge variety of books in all kinds of conditions. (Okay, Good, Really Good, etc.)
Bookshelves-A book lover can’t have too many bookshelves. But what do they do when they run out of room for traditional standing ones? Floating bookshelves that can be mounted on the wall. You can find all kinds of designs on Amazon.
Book Style Tissue Box-This is perfect to have on your nightstand when you’re reading a real tear-jerker. Nicholas Sparks, anyone?
Yes, I Really Do Need All These Books Mug-For the coffee and book addicted. 🙂
Magnetic Poetry-Write notes on your fridge.
Lap Blanket Throw in Book Fabric- I found this on Etsy and fell in love with it. I’m sure your favorite bibliophile will too.
Kindle Unlimited Subscription-Kindle Unlimited lets you read as many books on Amazon as you want for $10 a month.
Gift Basket of Snacks-Fill a basket with your recipient’s favorite snacks and drinks. They will love munching out of it while being engrossed in just one more chapter.
Restaurant Gift Cards-Sometimes when you’re really engrossed in a book, who wants to cook? Investigate restaurants in your area that deliver so your friend can order in and get back to that book ASAP.
The reader on your list will love these different, unique ideas for their reading pleasure.
